Friday the 8th October was another long day, 8am in the office to load up and finally got home at 3am this morning. The event was at the National Motor Cycle Museum and its the 8th OSCAS I’ve done and its hosted by the lovely Emma Jesson from Central TV (The Weather Girl). The tables are lavishly decorated with illuminated centrepiece, 40″ gold Megaloon letters make a stunning back drop to the room. There are 15 awards and the final award is the Society Employee of the Years, Once announces its my cue to detonate 24 Airbursts over the entire Imperial Suite, all on one hit, the sound is deafening and the mess is unbelievable. 10 Seconds after these had been detonated all hell let lose as the fire alarms went off due to the amount of smoke from these effects. The museum had been told about these and the technical crew were on stand by to deactivate but they still went off ( At least they work). All calm was restored with a few seconds
Well done to Gerry, Mark and all the crew from Istead, the stage set, lighting and music all went to make this event memorable.
See you all for OSCAS 2011
